This article is for the configuration of the macOS Mail app, and assumes that you have not yet set up an email account in the application.
The following instructions step through the process of configuring your Office 365 Exchange Online Account with Apple Mail for MacOS 10.14 or higher. KU email accounts require Modern Authentication support, which is not available on older versions of macOS.

Open the Mail app.

- Select Microsoft Exchange and click Continue.

Enter the following information and click Sign In.

Click Sign In.

Login to the KU SSO with your KU Online ID and password.

Select the aspects of your account that you would like synced with the Mail app and click Done.

Manual Configuration

Click the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the menu bar.

Select System Settings.

Select Internet Accounts.

Click Add Account.

Click Microsoft Exchange.

Enter your name as you want it to appear on sent messages.

Enter your email address as primaryEmail@ku.edu.

Select Sign In when presented with a prompt that asks if you'd like to sign in to your account using Microsoft.

Enter your KU online ID and password at the KU SSO screen and click Login.

Select the items that you want to sync with via your Mac, be sure to select Mail to access your email through the Mail app, then click Done.
It may take a few minutes for the application to fully download and sync your email to your computer.
