Software and Services Catalog - Navigation

Information regarding what software and services you are eligible to receive as a student, staff, faculty, or guest of the University of Kansas is available at:https://technology.ku.edu/catalog.

Navigating the Catalog Website

  1. In a web browser visit: https://technology.ku.edu/catalog.
     
  2. Software and services are listed in a scrollable list and are displayed in order by their title and include information regarding:
    • Platforms: what operating system the software or service can be run on or requires.
    • Description: what function the software or service performs.
    • Categories: what searchable category a piece of software or service is a part of (see below).

       
  3. At the top of the catalog page there is both a search field and a sort-by categories field. Type in the name of a software or service in the search field and/or click Any to select a category to filter by, then click Apply to refine your search.

     
  4. To see detailed information for a software or service, click its title/name.

     
  5. In addition to product description, cost, etc., who is eligible to receive a software license or service is listed in the top-left of the description page by affiliation type.
    • Additional information about the software or service is available by scrolling down the page.

       
  6. If software licensing or access to a service is restricted to sub-groups of: faculty, staff, or students, such as: undergraduate students, graduate students, undergraduate student workers, graduate student workers (GTA/GRA), etc., details regarding access can be found under the Access heading further down in the description page.
