Respondus Exam Creator - Access and Installation

  1. Log in to the software store at https://kusoftware.ku.edu.

  2. Click Respondus Exam Creator.

  3. Click Add to Cart.
    Clicking Add to Cart after selecting quantity desired.

  4. Click Finish & Download.
    Clicking Finish & Download after verifying what is in your Software Cart.

  5. Click the link for Respondus4Campus-v4100-03.exe.
    On My Software page, clicking hyperlink Respondus4Campus-v4100-00.exe to being download and install of program.

  6. Select a Language then Next. Follow the installation prompts.
    In InstallShield Wizard window, clicking next after selecting language.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Click I Accept and then Next.
    Clicking radio button next to I accept the terms of the license agreement after reading the License Agreement.

  9. Click Next.
    Clicking Next on Choose Destination Location page.

  10. Click Next.
    Clicking Next on Projects Folder Location page.

  11. Click Install.
    Clicking Install on the Ready to Install the Program page.

  12. Choose if you want to install the Respondus Equation Editor. This is not required, so it's a personal preference choice.

  13. Click the Finish button once the installation is complete.

  14. The first time you open Respondus, you will be prompted to enter an Institution Name, your support contact, and the installation password. The installation password is found on the My Software  section of the KU Software Store. After entering the information as given below, click License to proceed.Viewing Campus-wide License page that you will see the first time you open Respondus. Enter in an institution name, your support contact, and the installation password found on the My Sofrware section of the KU Software Store. Clicking License to proceed.

  15. Installation Instructions and License Key can be found in the document listed.

  16. You can choose to sign up for the Respondus Newsletter. This is not required.

  17. On the Choose CMS Personality page, select Canvas from the dropdown menu.
