A box will show containing your KU email in the format of j123h456@home.ku.edu, it will also ask for your KU password. Enter your password and then select continue. You will see the login screen below, treat it as if it is an actual KU computer and login with your information. Mac Once installed, open the app and click the + in the upper right corner. Next you will want to select Add Work or School Account. It will prompt a box asking for your email, enter in your KU email then click Next. Login with your KU Online ID and password to Single Sign-On You will be brought back to the app, click on Desktop. To access software specific to a department, click on the specific department's Desktop if it is available to you. Enter in your KU password and then click continue. You have successfully logged in. Windows Open Windows App and click Sign in Enter your KU primary email address, click Next. Login with your KU Online ID and password to Single Sign-On After login is complete, you will see the screen below. Click Connect beside Desktop. Enter your KU password and then select OK. You are successfully logged in.

Student's who need access to Microsoft Project must access this service through Windows App. Employee's who need access to Visio must access this service through Windows App. Employees who want to purse a licensed copy for themselves must speak with their technical support team. There is a yearly cost that will be charged back to the department for Visio licensing. Visit virtualdesktop.ku.edu. Enter your KU email into the Microsoft sign-in and select Next. Login with your KU Online ID and password to Single Sign-On. Under the KU Virtual Lab heading, click on Desktop. To access software specific to the School of Business, click School of Business Desktop under KU School of Business instead. Keep the default selections and select Allow. Login again to the computer with your KU online ID and password. When you connect for the first time, you may see a black screen for a few minutes while the system sets up your profile. After that, it should bring you into the desktop as seen below. Please see a list of all software available through Windows App in the panel Software available through Windows App below.
