Microsoft Outlook - Changing Default Browser Links in Emails

Summary

Newer versions of Outlook will default to opening links in your emails in Microsoft Edge. To change the browser that is used for links, follow the instructions below.

  1. In the Outlook Desktop application, click File.
    Clicking File tab in the Outlook desktop application.

  2. Click Options.
    Clicking Options from the sidebar menu.

  3. Click Advanced.
    Clicking Advanced from the menu on the left-hand side of the Outlook Options window.

  4. Select the browser you want to use in the drop-down menu of Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:
    Selecting the browser you want to use in the dropdown menu of Open hyperlinks from Outlook.
