PURPOSE:
To articulate parameters for credit card solicitation on campus

POLICY STATEMENT:
In accordance with the policy of the Kansas Board or Regents, no solicitation of credit card applications from University of Kansas students shall take place on campus during the week before and the two weeks following the first day of each semester. Educational material on the use of credit shall be included in the orientation programs for incoming students. During the times when credit card solicitations are permitted on campus, the credit card issuer shall provide to students information on the responsible use of credit cards and the risks of credit card use.
Solicitation will be permitted at athletics events held in Memorial Stadium or Allen Field House, consistent with current Kansas Athletics or Kansas University Alumni Association contracts with Intrust Bank. Effective October 1, 2010, any such contracts permitting solicitation shall adhere to the three-week prohibition on credit card solicitation specified above.
The Commerce Bank facility located in the Kansas Union building may provide credit card applications on the premises it leases from the Union, as consistent with its lease.
