These procedures are established as a means to resolving disputes. They shall be applied so as to protect the due process and other rights of parties to the dispute. These dispute resolution procedures are intended to supplement, not supplant, other more informal means of resolving disputes that may arise, and parties are encouraged to resolve disputes informally before resorting to formal procedures.

The honor code governs matters of law student honesty and integrity in academic performance. The honor code is written and administered by law students. It governs law students in the same way that the Code of Professional Responsibility governs members of the bar.
