It is the purpose of this document to promote the rigorous and fair evaluation of faculty performance during the promotion and tenure process by (a) establishing criteria that express the Libraries’ expectations for meeting University standards in terms of disciplinary practices; (b) providing procedures for evaluation of professional performance, scholarship, and service (c) preserving and enhancing the participatory rights of candidates, including the basic right to be informed about critical
