Microsoft Outlook - Creating a Rule to Flag a Specific Sender

  1. Select an email from the sender you wish to create a rule for.

     
  2. In the Home ribbon Select Rules in the Move section.

     
  3. Select Create Rule.

     
  4. Select Advanced Options.

     
  5. Select the check-box next to From LastName, FirstName of the sender. Select the check box next to assigned to a category (The option will appear this way if no category has been selected before).

     
  6. In the box labeled Step 2: click the underlined value to edit which category you'd like to assign the message to and then click OK.

    • You can edit the name of the category as well. Select Yes or No and then Finish.
