QtiPlot is mostly used by Engineering students here at KU. This software is available for both Mac & Windows. The software can be purchased from the KU Software Store at https://kusoftware.ku.edu. Mac Click the file (either Intel or M1) specified for use on your computer. This will download a folder with the installer inside. If you aren't sure whether your computer uses an Intel or M1 processor, you can find this under About This Mac. The information will be listed as Processor. Right-click the installer in the downloaded folder and select Open. Click Continue Click Continue again Click Agree Click Install Once completed, click Close Windows For Windows devices, QtiPlot requires Python to be installed. Follow the guide below for installing both Python and QtiPlot Click the file (x32 or x64) specified for use on your computer. This will download an installer of the same file name with your online ID appended in front of it Right-click the downloaded file and select Show in Folder. This will open your Downloads folder. Right-click the file in Downloads and select Extract All. Select Extract. This will create a new, unzipped folder in Downloads with the same name. Open the newly created folder. Open the folder inside that folder. It will have the same name, minus your online ID in front. Double-click python-3.10.7-amd64 file inside to run it. This will install Python as is required for correct software installation. Click Customize Installation. Check the boxes below, then click Next. Check the boxes shown below, then click Install. Click Yes. Click Close once setup in completed. Return to the Downloads folder and double-click the 090623_qtiplot-1.1.5-win64-python310 file to install QtiPlot Follow the prompts from User Account Control and software install will progress. Wait for it to finish. Click Yes. When completed, software is installed and ready for use.
