Summary
Licensing Alert - This software is licensed from November 1st of the current calendar year to October 31st of the following calendar year. You must purchase a new copy of SAS to obtain the newest license each year. There is a 60-day "grace" period when an older license will continue to work, provided you already have the software installed and activated. New installations will require you to purchase a new copy of SAS.
The software can be purchased at the KU Software Store at: https://kusoftware.ku.edu.
SAS 9.4
These instructions assume you have not installed SAS on your system prior. You may need to expand the size of the installation window to see the "Next" button on some screens that have a lot of content. If you have trouble extracting this file, you may need to install an alternative extraction software.

Log on to the KU Software Store at https://kusoftware.ku.edu.

Download the installer file from the My Software page of the KU Software Store.

Open your downloads folder.

Select the SAS .zip file in the format j123h456 - SAS 9.x... from your browser or Downloads folder.

Choose Extract all.

Select Extract.

After extraction, open the SAS folder.

Select Setup.exe.
-
Select Yes if prompted by User Account Control (UAC).

Select your language and click OK.

Select Install SAS software on the SAS Deployment Wizard, then click Next.

Click Next.
-
Choose Install SAS Foundation and Related Software and click Next.

Select 64-bit Native Mode, then click Next.

Select 32-bit Compatibility Mode (Recommended) then click Next.

Click Next after selecting the software you would like the install. The SAS Integration Technologies Client is selected by default, the SAS Foundation Services is the only other required software. Click Next.

Click Clear All , then Next. English will remain selected by default.

Click Next.

Select SAS Foundation (64-bit) then click Next.

Click Next.

Allow installation process to run, it may take a few minutes.

Once completed, click Next.

Click Start.

Click Next, when installation is completed.

Click Finish to complete the installation.
Renew SAS

Download your Renewal License.

From your Downloads folder select the SAS Renewal .zip file and Extract all.

Select Extract.
-
From the Start Menu, under SAS, select Renew SAS Software 9.x.

If prompted by User Account Control, select Yes.

Select a language and Next.
-
Select Next.
-
Select Browse.
-
Navigate to the SAS Renewal folder you extracted and select the appropriate .txt file and Open it.

Select Next.
-
Select Start.
-
Select Next.
-
Select Finish.
