The KU chatbot, Jay Bot, is available on select KU websites to help with technical and support questions, and to connect to you with live support representatives. See "Reference Items" below for a complete list of locations that Jay Bot appears.

Accessing Jay Bot
For a complete list of locations that Jay Bot appears, see "Reference Items" above.
- To access Jay Bot and ask it questions, in the bottom right of a page that hosts it, click the blue and white text bubbles.
- If Jay Bot's window is already open when you visit a page, skip to step 2 below.

- Jay Bot's window will expand and you will be greeted with a list of common support topics.

Asking Jay Bot Questions
Jay Bot often presents common support topics as clickable buttons for you to choose from, and you can ask it questions in its chat feature.
- Select a button prompt that matches the topic you need help with, or type a question and click the Send button.

Clearing Chat History and Leaving Feedback
Often you will want to clear chat history to ensure past questions and answers are separate from new inquiries for best results. You can also leave feedback when using the bot. KU IT appreciates your feedback and will consider comments for future improvements to our system.
Clearing Chat History
- If switching between question topics or if you are not happy with the results Jay Bot has given you, try clearing the chat history by clicking the broom icon in the chat box.

- Jay Bot will confirm you wish to clear the chat history, click: Clear conversation to continue.

- Jay Bot will let you know the history is cleared and is ready for your next question.

Leaving Feedback
- If you are satisfied with the answers Jay Bot has given you, click the green thumbs up button, or if you're unsatisfied, click the red thumbs down button to leave feedback.

- If you click the red thumbs down button, a feedback prompt will display. Type in your feedback and click: Submit.

- You can also leave feedback for your entire experience with Jay Bot by clicking the X in the top right of its window. Indicate your satisfaction by giving the conversation 1 to 5 stars (1 being very poor, 5 being very good), enter optional feedback comments, optionally enter your email address for a transcription of your conversation with Jay Bot, then click: Close Window.
