Navigate to MyIdentity Services.

Select Account Recovery Options.

Select Account Recovery Email Address.

Select Add Recovery Email.

Enter your personal email address to use as a recovery email. This feature will not work with a KU email address.

Check your personal email to view the verification message.

Click Verify Email.

Once verified, you'll see both the success banner shown below, and a badge next to the email address marked Verified. You can only have one recovery email set at a time. If you would like to change it at a later date, click Remove and go through the process again with a new email address.
