PURPOSE:
To determine which students qualify for an application fee waiver.
APPLIES TO:
Undergraduate domestic applicants for admission.

POLICY STATEMENT:
The University of Kansas has established a program to waive the cost of the admissions application fee for students that participate in specific programs when they apply to The University of Kansas.
To be considered for eligibility, a student must meet one of the following requirements:
- Receives an ACT/SAT Fee Waiver
- Participates in the Federal Free/Reduced Lunch Program
- Participates in Project Discovery
- Participates in GEAR UP
- Participates in KC Scholars
- Be an active service member or veteran
- Participate in military reserves
- Participates in one of the Federal TRIO programs:
- Upward Bound
- Upward Bound Math & Science
- Talent Search
- LULAC
- Student Support Services
- Educational Opportunity Center
- If requested and approved by the Office of Admissions
