This policy ensures that projects align with KU’s strategic plans and objectives, and that projects are compliant with University and State of Kansas standards and procedures by defining requirements for all work that modifies University buildings, landscapes, hardscapes, memorials, or property, including renovations, remodeling, construction, maintenance, and any minor modifications.

The purpose of this operating policy/procedure is to clarify for deans, directors and chairpersons the maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities associated with centrally scheduled classrooms, Departmental classrooms and media classrooms.

This policy establishes authority for the assignment of space for academic, operational, and affiliated services that support the University’s mission on the Lawrence Campus and in other University properties managed by the Lawrence campus.
