PURPOSE:

Provide procedures for the governing the spoken English language competency of faculty and graduate teaching assistants.

POLICY STATEMENT:

The Board of Regents requires that faculty and graduate teaching assistants of state universities have their English competency assessed. The full policy is available in the Kansas Board of Regents Policy Manual (II. iii). Information on the implementation of this policy for graduate teaching assistants at KU is available on the Office of Graduate Studies' website.
